BioInvestIT finale, a forum on the circular bioeconomy: Bio4Dreams offers an award in honor of Ennio Ongini, friend and scientist.

After organizing the stages in Milan, Trieste, and Bolzano respectively at MIND – Milano Innovation District, our Trieste headquarters, and NOI Techpark in Bolzano, our partner, Bio4Dreams will be at the finale of BioInvestIT, the annual investment forum dedicated to the circular bioeconomy.

The “Investor Arena Meeting,” the final event of the initiative, will be held today (May 14) in Milan at the SACE headquarters in the presence of major European and Italian venture capital firms, including Sofinnova Partners, Defossilization Development Fund, Indaco Sgr, and Eureka.

Eight finalist startups, in search of investors, will have the opportunity to present their projects to an audience of specialized venture capitalists, industry experts, and business managers.

For this occasion, Bio4Dreams will offer a special award dedicated to Ennio Ongini, a dear friend and internationally renowned scientist, to keep alive his memory and his contribution to scientific research.

The award includes for the selected entity a six-month path comprising a series of services to support entrepreneurial ideas.

Agreenet has been awarded this prize: a startup aiming to increase the shelf-life of fruits and vegetables through the development of new preservation systems based on innovative biobased, bioactive, and biodegradable materials.

β€œBy organizing the BioInvestIT stages in Milan – MIND, Trieste, and Bolzano and participating in the final Arena Meeting at SACE in Milan, Bio4Dreams reiterates its increasing focus on the circular bioeconomy sector that is progressively developing in our country. We thought the best way to remember a dear friend and internationally renowned scientist, Ennio Ongini, who shared with Bio4Dreams the birth and growth of several startups and invested many resources and energy in scientific progress, was to establish an award in his memory, to keep alive his passion for innovation and to continuously motivate and inspire young researchers.”
