Becoming a parent brings many joys, but also significant challenges, including ensuring the safety of infants.

Among the dangers that newborns face are Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), also known as “crib death“, choking, accidental strangulation, respiratory issues, fever, congestion, vomiting, and many others. Preventing or managing these situations requires constant attention from parents and caregivers, which is not always possible.

In this context, the sleep deprivation of parents, especially in the first year of a child’s life, and often inexperience due to the lack of guidance and expert help, are detrimental.

It would, therefore, be ideal to find a way to monitor the health and safety of the child and offer greater peace of mind to parents.

Evotion, wearable wolutions for health monitoring

Evotion is at the forefront of developing wearable devices with applications in the health sector. The goal is to transform personal health management by allowing simple and immediate monitoring.

One of the first projects is Momi, a smartband for infants and children (up to 5 years old) that monitors their main vital parameters.

Developed by the Evotion team in collaboration with expert pediatricians, Momi is a bracelet equipped with advanced sensors that monitor in real-time the heart rate, oxygen saturation, body temperature, respiration, and sleep of infants and children.

Thanks to this vigilant “eye,” it is possible to monitor the health of the child, the progress of pathological conditions, such as the onset of seasonal flu, and reduce the risk of cardio-respiratory issues.

With a data hub that also serves as a wireless charging base, Momi transmits vital parameter data to a proprietary cloud platform, which collects and processes the data, making it available to parents and caregivers on smartphones.

In fact, they have access to an app with a user-friendly interface that, with data and charts, provides an overview of the child’s health status. The application sends alerts in case of anomalies in the monitored parameters. Additionally, access to the app can be shared with family members and caregivers.

Momi is produced and assembled in Italy, features a cutting-edge design, is hypoallergenic, water-resistant, and made with certified baby-friendly materials, ensuring safety and comfort.

State of the art

Momi will be launched on the market in 2024. In the meantime, Evotion is already working on developing an entire ecosystem of devices and accessories to integrate with and support the smartband to ensure infant safety and well-being, helping parents have more peaceful nights.
