For example, in microfluidics, the ability to achieve nanometric sizes allows for the use of smaller quantities of samples and reagents, thereby reducing costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The advantages and potential of nanotechnologies make them a field of great interest, today and prospectively, for both the research world and the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">NanoPhoenix, nanotechnologies for le Life Sciences<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In this context, a multidisciplinary team conceived the idea of combining their know-how in micro and nanofabrication processes, electrochemistry, microfluidics, and sensor technology into one reality: <strong>NanoPhoenix<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The startup was created to <strong>develop devices and micro and nanostructured surfaces with applications in Life Sciences<\/strong>, particularly <strong>in diagnostic and therapeutic fields<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NanoPhoenix specializes in three areas: <strong>substrates for cell cultures<\/strong>, <strong>microfluidic devices and lab-on-chips<\/strong>, and <strong>micro and nanoelectrodes <\/strong>and <strong>biosensors<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Substrates for cell cultures<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>These micro and nanostructured <strong>surfaces replicate the topography and physiological environment of the extracellular matrix<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Compared to traditional solutions, these substrates offer a <strong>greater active surface<\/strong>, which translates into better efficiency in adhesion, proliferation, and cellular differentiation. This makes them ideal for applications in studies of cell morphology, mechanobiology analysis, development of co-cultures, standardization of cell cultures, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Microfluidic Devices and lab-on-chip<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>These are <strong>hydrophilic<\/strong>, non-absorbent, high-throughput, plug-and-play <strong>fluidic devices<\/strong>, useful in analyzing biological fluids for therapy and diagnosis, such as liquid biopsy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Micro and nano electrodes and biosensors<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>These are devices that, thanks to nanometric printing, offer <strong>high resolution and uniformity<\/strong> for rapid and accurate analysis of biological samples in human, animal, agri-food, and therapeutic drug monitoring fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fast, economical, and customizable solutions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>For the development of these solutions, NanoPhoenix employs an <strong>innovative manufacturing technology<\/strong>, an <strong>evolution of Nanoimprint Lithography<\/strong>, which has the advantage of being <strong>fast, simple, versatile, accurate, and economical<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, the added value is the degree of customization: <strong>the startup is capable of developing micro and nanostructured devices and surfaces tailored to the needs and requests of the client<\/strong>, who can decide on dimensions, materials, geometry, and other parameters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">State of the arte<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In addition to already being on the market<\/strong> with the service of developing customized micro and nano solutions, <strong>the startup is currently working with the China Regional Research Center \u2013 ICGEB<\/strong> to develop an <strong>innovative point-of-care<\/strong> (POC) <strong>device for the detection of circulating tumor markers<\/strong>, useful for early diagnosis and monitoring the effectiveness of therapeutic pathways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cWith NanoPhoenix, we enable researchers and businesses in the Life Sciences to access the benefits of nanotechnology with customized solutions.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<cite><strong>Alessandro Pozzato<\/strong>, CEO, NanoPhoenix<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Updates<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">April 2026<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udcb0 NanoPhoenix is taking part in the <strong>Horizon Europe project AQUADETECT<\/strong> to develop <strong>advanced optical sensors<\/strong> for monitoring aquatic environments, with \u20ac100,000 in funding over four years. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/bio4dreams.com\/en\/nanophoenix-quantum-sensors-aquatic-ecosystems-horizon-europe\/\">Read the news<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>September<\/em> 2025<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udd2c NanoPhoenix wins the FVG regional call and launches <strong>NanoFab_Lab<\/strong>, a project for a new <strong>production laboratory<\/strong> dedicated to research and innovation in Life Sciences. <a href=\"https:\/\/bio4dreams.com\/en\/nanophoenix-nanofab-lab-fvg-grant\/\"><strong>Read the news<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>September<\/em> 2024<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udcb0 The startup, as part of an international consortium, is participating in a project funded under the <strong>Horizon Europe program<\/strong> aimed at <strong>developing innovative gas detectors<\/strong> for safety.
