Bio4Dreams takes part in PerfeTTO, the network dedicated to technology transfer in the Life Sciences. As part of the second edition of the TT Accelerator, one of the initiatives developed by the Network, Bio4Dreams contributes its experience through mentorship activities, supporting selected projects.

PerfeTTO and the TT Accelerator

PerfeTTO is the first Italian network of Technology Transfer Offices (TTOs) dedicated to the Life Sciences. It brings together 54 organizations, including public and private IRCCS institutes, universities, foundations, and hospitals across Italy, with the aim of strengthening skills and tools for technology transfer and supporting the valorization of research results.

Bio4Dreams’ involvement

Within the TT Accelerator, Bio4Dreams brings the expertise and experience gained in supporting Life Sciences projects and technologies, contributing to the mentorship activities included in the program.

Bio4Dreams is represented by Demetra Pelos, Strategic Projects Director & Head of Business Nursery, who is involved as a mentor supporting the assigned projects.

The projects supported include:

• GiraFFF, a project by IRCCS Fondazione Ca’ Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico di Milano, proposing an innovative and patented method for non-invasive prenatal genetic diagnosis;
• NEURO-DIABESITY, a project by the Università di Pisa, focused on investigating the relationship between neuroinflammation, obesity, and diabetes.

Bio4Dreams’ contribution is aimed at supporting the teams in identifying the skills, stakeholders, and opportunities most useful for addressing the next stages of development of their respective projects.

The key stages of the program

An initial meeting between mentors and teams took place on April 29 in Rome, during the TT Accelerator Interim Meeting, which focused on project progress and the next stages of the program.

The program concluded with the PerfeTTO Match-Up, held in Milan on October 1–2, 2026. The event brought together research organizations, companies, investors, and other players from the innovation ecosystem, giving TT Accelerator projects the opportunity to engage with potential stakeholders and partners.

Bio4Dreams’ participation in PerfeTTO is part of its broader commitment to supporting the research community in turning scientific results into new development opportunities, by connecting scientific expertise, entrepreneurial capabilities, and key players across the innovation ecosystem.
