MNESYS
Scouting and incubation to unlock the potential of neuroscience research
MNESYS is the PNRR Extended Partnership dedicated to neuroscience and neuropharmacology, coordinated by the University of Genoa. Bio4Dreams supports the entrepreneurial valorization of research outcomes through scouting, selection, coaching and mentorship activities.
In Liguria, Bio4Dreams also collaborates with IRCCS Ospedale Policlinico San Martino on the analysis and valorization of the most promising research projects.

Technology transfer to unlock the potential of Life Sciences research
PerfeTTO is the Italian network of Technology Transfer Offices in the Life Sciences, bringing together 54 leading organizations including IRCCSs, universities, foundations and hospitals. Funded by the Italian Ministry of Health, the project promotes technology transfer and strengthens the connection between research and society. Bio4Dreams supported four projects as a mentor and a fifth as a consultant, contributing to the definition of their development plans and regulatory strategies.
Bio4DMED
From research to market, unlocking innovation in Friuli Venezia Giulia
Bio4DMED was launched through a collaboration with the Department of Medicine at the University of Udine to identify and enhance high-potential research projects, supporting their progression toward technology transfer and the market. The initiative also includes collaborations with ASUGI, SISSA and IRCCS Fatebenefratelli, through analysis, consulting and the development of innovative projects and startups, contributing to the definition of valorization strategies and growth pathways.
National Biodiversity Future Center
Biodiversity, research and business in a single national ecosystem
NBFC is the first Italian National Center dedicated to biodiversity, funded by the PNRR to integrate research, innovation and technology transfer through a One Health approach.
Bio4Dreams contributes to the entrepreneurial valorization of research and the development of new projects, strengthening connections between science, business and local ecosystems, with a specific focus also on Southern Italy.

Exscalate4Startups™
AI and supercomputing for drug discovery
Exscalate is Dompé’s proprietary platform combining supercomputing and artificial intelligence for the development of new drugs: it can evaluate more than three million molecules per second, drawing on a chemical library of 2 trillion molecules.
Exscalate4Startups™ was created to make this platform available to Bio4Dreams’ most promising startups, providing support throughout the screening and identification process for innovative drugs targeting diseases that still lack effective treatments.

Our vehicle for helping bring ideas to market
Since 2022, following Bio4Dreams’ move to its new headquarters at MIND, the SharedLabs™ have become one of the core assets of the Bio4Dreams ecosystem: approximately 700 m² of shared research laboratories designed to host and support the activities of innovative startups and SMEs.
The model was developed together with Labs2Life, which manages the facilities, with the aim of providing flexible spaces, scientific services and infrastructure to support the growth of companies within the network. Completing the project is the sw.lab digital platform, developed to simplify and improve the management of laboratory spaces and services.

Gli SharedLabs™ sono laboratori di ricerca condivisi, organizzati e attrezzati per funzione, utilizzabili on demand da più soggetti, come startup, aziende e ricercatori.
Sono spazi pensati, in particolare, per team che hanno necessità di sviluppare attività di validazione scientifica in tempi brevi, sollevandoli dall’impegno di acquistare attrezzature costose e di gestire un laboratorio proprietario.
