At this Trieste stages:
📈 the role of Tech Transfer and financial tools supporting businesses were explored;
♻️ two European case studies on industrial technologies and business models promoting the transition to a circular economy were analyzed;
💪 Seven startups tried to win over the expert jury to advance to the next stage.
Participating Startups
🏆 BioChiCa: A startup developing sustainable bioactive molecules derived from alternative biomasses, applicable in fields such as agriculture, food, pharmaceuticals, and biomedicine.
Hi-Bugs: a project focused on developing an intelligent, modular, and automated production system to obtain sustainable protein sources – insects – into flours for use in the food industry.
Krožnik: a Slovenian entity that has developed a platform aimed at limiting and reducing food waste.
MISAKI: a project dedicated to developing innovative and functional cosmetics obtained through the encapsulation of active ingredients.
Nanodent: develops next-generation dental bioprostheses produced using stem cells and 3D printing (with bioprinting techniques).
Nous: Produces caffeine alternatives through sustainable and waste-free practices, maintaining the same stimulating and beneficial properties.
Superunit: A group of researchers developing innovative processes for industry use, such as low-temperature pasteurization using supercritical CO2.
