Specialized in solutions that improve prosthetic biocompatibility and durability, the innovative SME joins the Bio4Dreams ecosystem.
Biocompatibility Innovation has recently signed a membership agreement with Bio4Dreams, gaining access to the services dedicated to ecosystem members.
Founded in Padua in 2014, this innovative SME in the med tech sector aims to enhance the biocompatibility and durability of implantable medical devices.
Using highly purified plant molecules, the company has developed and patented technologies to treat prosthetics to prevent rejection and adverse reactions, such as infections, thrombosis, and calcification.
Among these technologies, Protego® reduces inflammation and degeneration of non-biological devices, such as artificial vessels and orthopedic or dental prostheses. Facta®, on the other hand, improves the biocompatibility of prosthetics made with animal tissues, such as heart valves.
These solutions not only enhance clinical efficacy but also contribute to the sustainability of the healthcare system by reducing costs associated with complications and follow-up interventions.
