A Hub connecting research and industry
The new Digital Transformation and Technology Transfer HUB at the University of Palermo is designed as an innovative service center aimed at promoting economic development and innovation, accelerating digital transformation, and enhancing technology transfer.
Through this platform, students and researchers have the opportunity to apply their skills to real-world projects, directly supporting the growth of partner businesses and strengthening the connection between academia and the entrepreneurial sector.
The services offered aim to equip companies with the tools needed to face digital challenges, improve their competitiveness, and promote sustainability, while enhancing employability for graduates and increasing the university’s appeal.
In addition to Bio4Dreams, the project includes other prominent partners such as Bi-Rex, the Bologna-based Competence Center specializing in big data; Deloitte, whose network provides audit & assurance, consulting, financial advisory, risk advisory, tax, and legal services to public and private clients; EHT, part of Harmonic Innovation Group; and Materias, an early-stage combined accelerator for launching startups based on innovative materials, all contributing to create a collaborative ecosystem capable of addressing future challenges.
