ScienceUP is founded by WonderGene and Labs2Life with Sanipedia to bring biotech labs and STEM and STEAM programs into schools.

On December 1, 2025, ScienceUP was officially founded, an innovative startup born within the Bio4Dreams network and dedicated to science education and the promotion of STEM and STEAM disciplines in schools.

    ScienceUP: origins and mission

ScienceUP initially originated as a project of WonderGene, an SME specialized in genetic analysis and science communication, incubated and affiliated with Bio4Dreams, with the mission of making science accessible to everyone.

The project develops experimental educational activities, training programs, and biotech laboratories for schools at all levels, as well as professional development programs for teachers based on innovative teaching methodologies such as Inquiry-Based Science Education (IBSE) and up-to-date content in molecular biology and sustainability. In addition to scientific and entrepreneurial training, ScienceUP also promotes cultural initiatives, fostering continuous dialogue between science, society, and younger generations.

Labs2Life, Labs4Edu and biotech laboratories for schools

Thanks to the synergies within the Bio4Dreams ecosystem, in 2023 WonderGene launched a collaboration with Labs2Life, a startup specialized in the design, development, setup, and management of scientific research laboratories, also incubated and affiliated with Bio4Dreams.

This collaboration led to the creation of Labs4Edu, a project offering schools turnkey biotech laboratory solutions, including equipment, reagents, IBSE-based educational kits, and teacher training courses. These solutions allow students to directly engage in advanced laboratory activities. Labs4Edu has since become an integral part of the ScienceUP offering.

The establishment of ScienceUP as an innovative startup

Over time, the collaboration between WonderGene and Labs2Life proved particularly effective, eventually leading to the decision to evolve ScienceUP into an independent entity. With the support of Sanipedia, a long-established organization within the Bio4Dreams Group, ScienceUP was officially incorporated as an innovative startup on December 1, 2025, further strengthening the connection between scientific research, communication, and education.

The establishment of ScienceUP as an independent company enables the consolidation and expansion of its mission, facilitating the development of new partnerships with schools, institutions, and companies, as well as the design of large-scale initiatives. The goal is to build a structured and scalable offering capable of responding to the growing demand for STEM and STEAM content and of introducing advanced technologies for scientific learning into schools.

ScienceUP has the potential to become an ecosystem that brings technology transfer into education as well, not only by connecting research and industry but also by contributing to the creation of educational pathways that develop scientific, entrepreneurial, and design skills. This is not about replacing schools, but about providing tools, experiences, and connections that enable students to develop a contemporary, critical, and innovation-oriented perspective.

Ana Rodriguez Prieto, Co-founder, CEO & CSO of WonderGene e Co-founder of ScienceUP

“We strongly believe that culture and science can and must move forward together, speaking the language of new generations. With ScienceUP, we aim to establish a stable presence in schools, capable of promoting scientific education in an engaging, accessible, and high-quality way. Our commitment is to help spread a true culture of science — one that goes beyond knowledge and becomes curiosity, critical thinking, and the ability to interpret the world. For this reason, we see ScienceUP as a strategic component in students’ educational journeys.”

Claudio Maria Gattuso, Co-founder & CEO of Labs2Life, Co-founder of ScienceUP

ScienceUP represents a new success story within the Bio4Dreams ecosystem, demonstrating how the network acts as a catalyst for collaboration and synergy among incubated companies and group entities, generating high-impact initiatives for science education and the dissemination of biotech culture.
