Genetic analysis: versatility and limitations

Genetic analysis is employed in various sectors including health science research, the agro-food industry, large-scale retail, and biodiversity studies. It is used for quality control, food safety, and product and supply chain traceability.

The traditional approach to performing these analyses requires access to a well-equipped laboratory with specialized staff.

However, this is not always feasible quickly, which is a limitation when immediate results are required for prompt intervention.

🏫 WonderGene participates in the 2022 Science Festival, from October 20 to November 1, with the activity “Tech-transfer: the bridge between science and society,” a workshop aimed at young people to follow and experience the journey of a startup from innovative idea to market.

🔬 WonderGene is in touch with the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences for a collaboration under their UNESCO Chair in “Sustainable Management of Conservation Areas (MCA).” The interest focuses on potential testing of the portable WonderGene analysis laboratory, currently in prototyping, and consultation on conducting genetic analysis in remote areas.

👩‍🏫 Next May, WonderGene will hold the course “Science Communication: how to engage your stakeholders” at the School of Innovation of UniTrento, to teach students the most appropriate communication techniques for interacting with their future and potential stakeholders.
