Nantoo, an innovative startup and Benefit Corporation based in Milan, operating in green-tech and circular bioeconomy, has officially entered an incubation program with Bio4Dreams. This step follows its victory of the Ennio Ongini Award at BioInvestIT, which grants a one-year membership and a full incubation program.

Founded in late 2022, Nantoo aims to revolutionize the management of urban, horticultural, and agroforestry green waste by transforming it into a resource. Its multifunctional device “Biocycle,” based on patented BioPods technology, works like an outdoor vacuum cleaner – collecting, shredding, and compacting leaves into compostable bags, reducing their volume by up to 90%. The organic material is then sealed in BioPods, capsules ready for circular reuse in paper, packaging, and bio-tech materials. Thanks to industrial partnerships such as the one with Cifarelli, Nantoo is working to make its technology scalable and applicable in a wide range of use cases.

With Biocycle, Nantoo is part of the Radici Circolari (“Circular Roots”) project – the first upcycling supply chain dedicated to turning leaves and green waste from discarded matter into valuable resources. Radici Circolari is building an innovative ecosystem of industrial symbiosis among scientific and manufacturing partners, enabling the extraction of high-value molecules such as cellulose and lignin to create bio-tech materials – without cutting down trees or consuming land.
