The SME has completed a cardiac telemonitoring project and won a grant to further develop its fall-risk prevention technology.

Feature Jam is an innovative SME incubated by Bio4Dreams, specializing in the development of advanced technologies to improve the quality of life for elderly or vulnerable individuals. The company has recently reached two key milestones that reinforce its expertise in this field.

Specifically, it has successfully completed a project (PDTiFA) focused on remote monitoring of atrial fibrillation and won the first call of the “Booster for Life Science FVG” program with a second project (PrediCat) dedicated to fall-risk prevention in elderly patients.

PDTiFA: project for atrial fibrillation telemonitoring

PDTiFA (Integrated Diagnostic and Therapeutic Pathways for patients with Atrial Fibrillation) is an initiative designed to improve remote monitoring of atrial fibrillation patients, with a particular focus on managing frail individuals. The project was developed by Feature Jam in partnership with Televita S.p.A. (lead partner), in collaboration with the University of Trieste and the Cardiology Clinic of Cattinara Hospital in Trieste.

Within this project, the SME developed a real-time remote monitoring system capable of detecting atrial fibrillation episodes. At the core of the system is a proprietary AI-based algorithm designed to effectively support clinical monitoring.

The successful completion of the project marks a significant step forward in enabling more proactive and personalized management of cardiovascular diseases.

    PrediCat: project for fall-risk monitoring

Feature Jam was awarded the first call of the “Booster for Life Science FVG – TRL Advancement” program with the project PrediCat, aimed at predicting fall risk in elderly individuals.

This funding program, promoted by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, supports life sciences projects that focus on validating innovative technologies and increasing their Technology Readiness Level (TRL), helping them move closer to market.

Within this framework, Feature Jam’s BlueJam platform plays a key role. BlueJam combines wearable devices and AI-powered software to monitor falls, strokes, and Parkinson’s disease. The goal of the PrediCat project is to advance the technology from TRL 4 to TRL 6 by completing system engineering, optimizing AI algorithms, developing regulatory components, and initiating a validation phase in real-world settings.

Through PrediCat, Feature Jam moves closer to market deployment, strengthening its commitment to preventing risks related to frailty and enhancing safety and autonomy for vulnerable individuals.
