Launched on July 16th, SMARTcup Liguria 2024 is a competition for high-tech entrepreneurial ideas designed to promote and support the launch of innovative ventures, encouraging their establishment in the regional area.

The initiative is promoted by the Liguria Region, organized by Filse (Finanziaria Ligure per lo Sviluppo Economico) in collaboration with the University of Genoa and various entities related to the world of research and innovation.

The competition is open to projects in the fields of Cleantech & Energy, ICT, Industrial, and Life Sciences & Med Tech. Participation is free, and registration is open until September 12th.

Competitors will have the opportunity to: participate in the National Innovation Award (PNI), benefiting from organizational support and coverage of registration fees; establish themselves for six months within Filse’s regional network of incubators; and receive support initiatives in the form of mentoring, tutoring, training, marketing, and other specific consultancy services.

A series of special prizes are also planned, including one for the best project impacting climate change and another for benefiting from internationalization pathways organized by Filse and the Region.

Bio4Dreams’ Role

This year as well, Bio4Dreams is a partner of the initiative and will be represented on the jury by Margherita Fotia, Liguria Ecosystem Manager & Startup Analyst, who will contribute to selecting the winning startups for the new edition of SMARTcup Liguria.
