Two events in MIND and Trieste to present Simplifica, a Benefit startup applying AI and math models to clinical data.

On October 16 and 22, 2025, Bio4Dreams hosted two presentation events for Simplifica, the new innovative startup and Benefit Corporation based in Trieste and MIND – Milano Innovation District – created to accelerate clinical and healthcare data analysis through advanced mathematical models and artificial intelligence.

On October 16, at Bio4Dreams’ Headquarter in MIND, the event gathered portfolio companies, ecosystem members, and the Federated Innovation community, with the goal of showcasing Simplifica’s potential and related project opportunities.

On October 22, at the Bio4Dreams Regus spaces in Trieste, the presentation brought together the regional innovation ecosystem of Friuli Venezia Giulia, with representatives from Friulia, Area Science Park, SISSA, and the University of Udine, reinforcing Simplifica’s role as a bridge between research and business.

Founded in July 2025 by Bio4Dreams and FAST Computing, a SISSA mathLab spin-off, Simplifica perfectly embodies our technology transfer model: transforming academic results into high-potential entrepreneurial projects and bringing them to market.

Both events featured contributions from Elisabetta Borello, Co-Founder and VP Strategy & External Relations of Bio4Dreams, who opened with institutional remarks and a strategic overview of the startup within Bio4Dreams’ broader framework and collaborations with universities and research centers; Gianluigi Rozza, President of Simplifica, who shared a strategic and academic vision oriented toward business value creation; Andrea Martini, CEO of Simplifica, who presented the startup and its mission; and Nicola Demo, Technical Director of Simplifica, who discussed project and technical examples inspired by FAST Computing’s experience in developing complex systems.

“Simplifica represents a tangible example of technology transfer with an institution of excellence — SISSA, the International School for Advanced Studies in Trieste — through a team of outstanding scientific expertise already engaged, with FAST Computing, in significant projects for high-profile clients. Bringing this background into the Health and Life Sciences context will, we are certain, generate extraordinary results. The first strategic and high-value projects are already taking shape. For Bio4Dreams, this is a concrete and meaningful outcome of our daily work alongside scientists and research groups, fostering the creation of new companies that generate opportunities and value.”

Elisabetta Borello, Co-Founder, VP Strategy & External Relations of Bio4Dreams

“Simplifica represents a complementary synergy between FAST Computing and Bio4Dreams, enhancing the core strengths of both organizations: computational data science and biotech. It also serves as a bridge between Trieste and Milan, and between science and innovation. The MIND ecosystem provides an additional strategic element.”

    Gianluigi Rozza, President of Simplifica

“Simplifica is a concrete example of synergy among public research, industry, and private investors — a collaboration capable of improving people’s lives and creating value for the region.”

Renè Buttò, Head of Valorization & Innovation Office of SISSA
