Bio4Dreams takes part in the two-day Life Sciences and biotech event in Doha organized by the Italian Trade Agency (ICE).

On April 16–17, 2025, Bio4Dreams participated in the Doha stop of the Montalcini Global Biotech Tour 2025, an initiative by ICE – Italian Trade Agency, aimed at promoting collaboration in the biotech and Life Sciences sectors between Italy and other countries—in this case, Qatar.

Among the selected Italian participants, Bio4Dreams represented the world of incubation and innovation support in Life Sciences, sharing—through the presence of Fabio Bianco, VP Scientific & Corporate Development—its operational model for supporting innovative startups and SMEs, with a particular focus on technology transfer and integration between research, business, and local ecosystems.

A strategic mission at the heart of Qatar’s Life Sciences hub

The two-day program began on April 16 with institutional visits to centers of excellence such as the Itqan Clinical Simulation & Innovation Center, a national reference for clinical innovation and advanced medical training; Sidra Medicine, a leading hospital and research center for personalized medicine and genetics; and the Aspire Zone / Aspetar, one of the most advanced sports medicine hospitals in the world.

On April 17, the Italy–Qatar Bilateral Forum on Biotechnology was held at the Sheikh Fahad bin Jassim Al Thani Theatre (MOCI Building, Ministry of Commerce and Industry), in the presence of both Italian and Qatari authorities. These included Italy’s Minister of Health, Prof. Orazio Schillaci, Qatar’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, H.E. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Sayed, and representatives from other key Qatari institutions.

Qatar: a gateway for Bio4Dreams’ international expansion

Participation in this initiative further strengthens Bio4Dreams’ internationalization strategy in the Gulf region, a rapidly growing area in the Life Sciences sector and increasingly focused on building high-tech innovation ecosystems.

Following missions to Saudi Arabia in 2024 and the launch of collaborations with King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in the field of personalized medicine, the Doha initiative opens up new opportunities for applying the Bio4Dreams model on a global scale—including through the launch of SharedLabs and platforms to optimize technology transfer.
